How to ATTRACT more followers on social media

How to attract more followers on social media

Have you ever just stared at your social media account and wished that you had more followers?

I know when I first started out that’s EXACTLY what I used to do. I knew that if I wanted to build my business faster, I needed to get in front of MORE people.

So how do you do that?

Every social media platform has an algorithm that rewards you for doing different things on there. In some ways each space can be VERY different. Don’t let that scare you though. There’s one thing that every platform has in common…

They want you interacting with people.

They want you making new connections and creating content that other people will interact with.

Think of social media as your own reality show. A story of your life. A journey through everything that you’re doing.

There are a lot of network marketing trainers out there telling you all the things that you need to be doing when it comes to creating content and building a brand. You don’t want to forget about the human connection though.

You could be creating the best content in the world, but if no one see’s it then you’re not going to make any sales.

There are people out there who will buy on an impulse. But, it can take 8-12 exposures before someone buys from you.

The more people that you get in front of and connect with, the faster you will see success in your business.

I think this is why I enjoy Instagram and TikTok so much. They will put content in front of new people who have never seen your profile before. You just have to be creating the content and using the tools that they want you to.

So what can you do to attract a bigger following on social media, and get in front of MORE people everyday??

  1. Be active! This means that you are creating content and connecting with people everyday. Some days you will have time to do more. Somedays it may have to be quick. Just make sure you do something everyday.
  2. Use the tools on the platform. Create a written post, do a video, go live, use hashtags, create stories. Not only will the platform promote your content more, but people will find you more easily.
  3. Interact with people who interact on your content! When people leave a like or comment, give them a response back. They will see that you are a real human that they can ask questions and learn from. As more interactions happen, this will boost your content in the algorithm.
  4. Be mindful of the type of content that you post. Creating different types of content will attract different types of people and keep things interesting. People love to see new things and be entertained. The more people watch your content, the more it will be boosted in the algorithm!

It takes time to get the ball rolling. It took me a year to create my first Facebook video that got over 1,000 views. It’s funny because on TikTok it’s much easier to create videos that get over 1,000 views and even go viral. I have videos on there that are up to 23,000 views. Again, each platform is different.

As you do all this over time you will see growth happen in your following and even in your sales. Consistency is your friend!

If you find it hard to do all this on multiple platforms, pick the one you like best. Get some traction on that one. Then you can direct people to follow you in other places as well. This is the easiest way to grow a following when you start out somewhere new.

Try it out and see how it works for you!

Until next time,

Brooke
